"KT Not Important La" Says Najib

It’s Only A Minor Setback, Says Najib

(The Star) KUALA TERENGGANU: Barisan Nasional’s loss in the by-election is only a setback and has no impact on the national political landscape, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said.

The Barisan number two said the coalition would not be disheartened and would embark immediately on measures to win back the confidence of the people.

“We will seriously take note of the outcome of the result,” the Deputy Prime Minister told reporters after the result was announced yesterday.

Najib said Barisan would enhance its image as part of its move to change its strategy.

“We will nevertheless accept the decision of the people of Kuala Terengganu,” he said.

He said the coalition was still relevant and was confident of regaining the support of the people very quickly.

Najib felt the mood of the people would be different in the next general election.

“I believe the people will return to Barisan’s fold. We will take immediate measures to ensure the support of the people for the coalition,” he added.

Datuk Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh, who was also at the press conference, said he would accept the people’s decision.

EH?!

I thought he said that the KT by-elections were damn important to prove that the people had not rejected BN? Now say it's not important pulak!

ANGGUR MASAM BETOI LA, DIA NI!

And what's his strategy forward, post-election?

"Improve image"...AGAIN?!

OI! It's not about the image la! It's about the substance and the delivery. It's about integrity and competence. It's about accountability and serving the rakyat.

What else?

"He said the coalition was still relevant and was confident of regaining the support of the people very quickly."

EH?! Wasn't that what the BN bigwigs said after March 8? After Permatang Pauh? Now again, after KT? These dolts are in serious denial mode. After losing PP with a larger majority and losing KT convincingly (as opposed to a shaky win in Mar08), they still think that the rakyat's sentiments are swinging TOWARDS the BN?

Huh?

When LESS people vote for you now compared to a few months ago, how is that an indication that voter sentiment is going to swing in your favour? Can count or not these people? Apa itu campur, apa itu tolak, tau kaaa?! No wonder our country's economy is in DEEP SHIT!
