BN Uses People-friendly Approach In By-election - Zambry
Monday, 30 March 2009
(Bernama) -- The Barisan Nasional (BN) is using a people-friendly approach in its campaign in the Bukit Gantang parliamentary by-election
(Memang kami mesra rakyat sebab kami nak ke sini kuburkan PR!! Eh?! Apa?! You sokong depa? Itu bukan saya punya pasal...Tujuan saya untuk kuburkan depa aje! You tak ikut kami maknanya you nak ikut depa ke?!)
even though this has less appeal than the opposition campaign of slander and personal attacks, Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir said today.
("Sumpah diliwat memang tiada kena-mengena dengan keperibadian sesiapa. Apabila kawan-kawan UMNO/BN besumpah, ia merupakan kebenaran muktamad! Tetapi jangan sekali percaya dusta-dusta kenyataan bersumpah yang dikeluarkan penentang UMNO/BN! Sumpah UMNO sahaja yang sah!")
He said the BN would not resort to quarrels or disorder
and that it was the opposition which played up the emotions of the people.
(Tengok poster UMNO ni. Tak bermain emosi langsung. Penuh dengan logik dan fakta sahaja!)
(Satu lagi poster UMNO yang mesra rakyat, penuh logik dan tidak bersifat emosi.)
"The voters in Bukit Gantang should not fall prey to the claim of the opposition that the by-election is a referendum. They claim that the referendum is a penalty for the BN government if they (the opposition) win the by-election," he told reporters after a meet-the-people session in Taman Kaya, here.
(Mana ada referendum?! Rakyat Perak begitu gembira sekali melihat ADUN katak melompat dan menjatuhkan kerajaan PR! Sampai membakar barang-barang sembahyang untuk meraikannya!)
(Tengok betapa sayangnya kerajaan UMNO/BN terhadap rakyat. Sehingga sanggup relakan anjing kesayangannya bermain dengan orangramai!)
He said the voters must consider carefully and elect the candidate who could bring change and not merely talk.
(Betul tu! Pilih calon yang boleh bawa arus perubahan!)
He also said that the BN had fulfilled the request of the electorate in Bukit Gantang by fielding a local person as the candidate. Ismail Saffian, 49, hails from Kampung Kubu, Bukit Gantang.
"There is no excuse this time for the voters not to give their vote to Ismail.
(Ingatlah pesanan mesra dari MB UMNO Terengganu semasa kempen PRK KT dulu: "Kalau lu baik sama saya, saya baik sama lu. Kalau lu tak baik sama saya, saya 10 kali lebih tak baik sama lu!" Oleh itu, UMNO/BN ingatkan supaya buatlah pilihan tepat!)
I am most confident that Ismail has the capability to implement the development agenda for the people and the state," he said.
(Ya, apabila UMNO/BN memerintah, mereka amat prihatin bagaimana wang rakyat diagihkan untuk pembangunan!)
At the function, Dr Zambry accepted about 150 fresh applications from the local people to join Umno.
(Betapa cintanya rakyat terhadap prinsip UMNO! Sungguh untung dapat menyertai parti ini!)
there is absolutely no other words to describe this.
