The Constitution and the Monarch - by Ku Li


On Institutions

Constitutionality cannot be compromised. It is a better safeguard of Malay rights than street demonstrations.

Our rulers are constitutional monarchs. Their powers are limited by the Constitution while the very same document guarantees their position and protects them.

Their function is to embodying the national character and to guarantee constitutional continuity in emergencies.
