Malaysia Mudah Lupa

Najib is a walking tall with his 1Malaysia thing nowadays...

About 50 feet tall if my estimate is correct! This was the effigy erected in his honour when he made his "historic" visit to Batu Caves. (Wonder why it's historic - I would consider it shameful that one of Malaysia's most internationally well-known sites has been visited only TWICE by our Malaysian PMs in its entire history!)

Anyway, it was a grand celebration of 1Malaysia, complete with expensive fireworks display (not the puny celup stuff people let off on CNY, OK! This is the real deal where one simple show easily runs into 5-figures!)

It was great that Najib gets a 50-foot effigy to honour him. He certainly looks happy about it!

But then ah...!

Funny lehh...

When Anwar had his picture up, how come they all made such a hoo-haa about it?

Here's what the BN had to say:

-----

Replika ‘dewakan’ pemimpin – Ali Rustam

MELAKA, 6 Okt.

Pembinaan replika gergasi Anwar satu pembaziran

KUALA LUMPUR 7 Okt.

Eh...so Anwar set up in the Batu Caves town area is worshipping Anwar.
Najib set up within Batu Caves temple area is what, ah?

Anwar's one is wasting money, which could be better given to the poor.
Najib's one taller than Anwar's one, some more got fireworks - that one how ah?

Rais ask if PAS approved of their partner PKR putting up the "idol" of Anwar.
Should we also ask the "let us defend Islam together" Khairy fler whether he approved of his own party prez putting up the...er...can say "idol" also, ka?

What's good for the goose is good for the gander, right? If you're going to judge others, shouldn't you have the integrity to allow yourselves to be judged by the same standards?

Or is it Najib's 1Malaysia means "only ONE can, the rest of you CANNOT!!"

Oh, and by the way...the Batu Caves fellas forgotten this one so quickly already ah?

How come now got 1Malaysia carnival, giant posters, fireworks, etc, etc, etc? What happened to the cries of injustice towards the poor and underclass?

After all their initial hellraising over Indian issues, these flers are happily celebrating the ruling govt's "gifts"? Meanwhile they happily attack DAP - who by the way is the ones still actively trying to get justice for Kugan till this day.

It's kind of a coincidence, doncha think?

They stop attacking the BN. They start attacking DAP & Pakatan despite them being the ones trying to get to the bottom of the cases they once championed (noticed there's no more tuntutan for the Kugan case from these flers anymore?) And now they have a grand 1Malaysia celebration INSIDE the Batu Caves temple complex?

Is it true what Anifah said, just throw some money at the rakyat and they'll be happy to vote the same corrupt and cruel regime into power forever? Najib throw a few million bucks at them and the mysterious circumstances surrounding the deaths of Kugan, Gunasegaran, and the Kulim 5 can close one eye, is it?

I hope the majority of Malaysians are a better class of rakyat than that...
